fgp05
has a spectacular finish!!
that's it, the grand prix season for 2005 is over, but what a way to
finish!
mark king's team had a 31 point lead at the end of the penultimate race, but sid sehrawat's sid 3 team scored an amazing 98 points in the chinese grand prix, notching up the best race manager award as he overtook mark's team to top the table! that's the second best race score of the season (only beaten by terry langridge's 105 points in the usa grand prix), and it wins sid's sid 3 team first place in fgp 05! well done sid!
after that incredible final race, the fgp05 winners podium therefore looks like this:
| winner | sid 3 | sid sehrawat | 806 | points, winning... | £24 |
| second | born to be mild | mark king | 784 | points, winning... | £14 |
| third | on the button with big slick | steve neave | 754 | points, winning... | £7 |
the
end of the season is also, at last, time to announce the best team name
competition!
after considerable deliberations, and sadly no attempts at
bribery, the best team name for the season goes to
terry langridge for their we have this trulli buttoned up team. Well done!
terry wins the best team name
prize of £10!
finally, it's fgp
tradition to take pity on the weak and helpless, and this year's wooden
spoon award also goes to terry langridge, but this time to his the cat has now got wings
team, which scored only 139 points all season! terry wins back his £2 entry fee
to make up for being at the bottom of the table!
all this means there's some
prize money to dish out!! in total, fgp is looking to pay out to the following
people...
